The data we collect about you

We provide an online service designed for freelancers and small businesses. The information we gather enables us to personalize, improve and continue to operate the Services. In connection with certain aspects of the Services, we may request, collect and/or display some of your Personal Information. “Personal Information” is information about an identifiable individual, and may include information such as the individual’s name, email address, telephone number, bank account details, taxation details, and accounting and financial information. You can always choose not to provide Your Personal Information to us, but it may mean that we are unable to provide you with the Services.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

We may receive Personal Information from You about others

Through Your use of the Services, we may also collect information from You about someone else. If You provide Plutio with Personal Information about someone else, You warrant and represent that You are authorized to disclose that information to Plutio and that Plutio may collect, use and disclose such information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

We collect Your Personal Information so that we can provide You with the Services. In doing so, We may use the Personal Information we have collected from You for purposes related to the Services, including but not limited to:

  • Notify You of new or changed services offered in relation to the Services.
  • Carry out marketing or training relating to the Services.
  • Assist with the resolution of technical support issues or other issues relating to the Services.

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Data retention

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Our service lets you access and update your information anytime. You can update your profile information anche change your name and associated profile image and email address anytime.

You can request that we stop using your information anytime and where you gave us consent to use your information for a limited purpose, you can contact us to withdraw that consent

You can also stop the reception of our product updates newsletter by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email anytime.

Even after you opt out from receiving the product updates newsletter, you will continue to receive transactional messages if you are an active Plutio user, such us reminders about tasks due dates and comments. You can disable most of these transactional notifications from the Notifications centre in the Settings within the application.

Usage of cookies

In providing the Services, Plutio utilizes "cookies." A cookie is a small text file that is stored on Your computer for record-keeping purposes. A cookie does not identify You personally or contain any other information about You but it does identify Your computer.

We and some of our affiliates and third-party service providers may use a combination of “persistent cookies” (cookies that remain on Your hard drive for an extended period of time) and “session ID cookies” (cookies that expire when You close Your browser) on the Website to, for example, track overall site usage, and track and report on Your use and interaction with ad impressions and ad services.

You can set your browser to notify You when You receive a cookie so that You will have an opportunity to either accept or reject it in each instance. However, You should note that refusing cookies may have a negative impact on the functionality and usability of the Website.
