Plutio Integrations
Best freelancer software integrations for projects management, payments, calendars, and automation
Plutio integrates with the tools freelancers and agencies use every day, from payment processing to calendar sync to automated workflows. Native integrations connect with one click. For everything else, Zapier opens up connections to over 5,000 apps including CRMs, email marketing platforms, spreadsheets, and custom business tools.
Each integration page below explains exactly what data syncs, how the connection works, pricing from the third-party service, and step-by-step setup instructions you can complete in under 5 minutes.
All integrations are included free on every Plutio plan. You only pay the third-party services at their published rates, and Plutio adds no additional fees.
Frequently asked questions about Plutio integrations
How many integrations does Plutio support?
Plutio has native integrations with 12+ core business tools including Stripe, PayPal, Square, QuickBooks, Xero, Google Calendar, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. Through Zapier, Plutio connects to 5,000+ additional apps including HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Notion, Asana, Trello, and virtually any web application with an API.
Are Plutio integrations free to use?
Yes. All Plutio integrations are included free on every Plutio plan. There are no per-integration fees or premium tiers for specific connections. The only costs are from third-party services themselves: Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction, Zapier has a free tier with paid plans for higher volumes, and QuickBooks/Xero have their own subscription costs.
How long does it take to set up an integration?
Most integrations take under 5 minutes to set up. The process typically involves: (1) go to Settings → Integrations, (2) click the service you want to connect, (3) authorize the connection by logging into that service, (4) configure which data should sync. Native integrations like Stripe and Google Calendar are one-click authorizations with no configuration needed.
Can I use multiple payment processors simultaneously?
Yes. You can connect Stripe, PayPal, and Square to the same Plutio workspace. When you send an invoice, clients see buttons for each connected payment method and can choose how they want to pay. Some freelancers enable all three to maximize flexibility for clients with different preferences.
Does Plutio support custom API integrations?
Yes. Plutio provides a REST API and webhooks for building custom integrations. You can create, read, update, and delete contacts, projects, tasks, invoices, and time entries programmatically. Webhooks notify external systems when events occur in Plutio. API documentation is available at docs.plutio.com.
What happens to my data if I disconnect an integration?
Disconnecting an integration stops new data from syncing, but does not delete existing data in either system. Invoices already synced to QuickBooks remain in QuickBooks. Payments already recorded in Plutio remain in Plutio. You can reconnect at any time and syncing resumes from that point forward.
Are integrations secure? Who can access my connected accounts?
Integrations use OAuth 2.0 authorization, which means Plutio never sees your passwords for connected services. You authorize access directly with each provider (Stripe, Google, Microsoft), and you can revoke access at any time from either the Plutio settings or the third-party service's connected apps page. Plutio is SOC 2 Type II certified.
Can team members access integrations or is it admin-only?
Integration configuration is admin-only to prevent accidental disconnections. However, all team members benefit from connected integrations. When Stripe is connected, any team member can send invoices with payment links. When Slack is connected, notifications go to the configured channels for everyone to see.
Does Plutio integrate with CRM software like HubSpot or Salesforce?
Not natively, but through Zapier you can sync Plutio with HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, and other CRMs. Common workflows include: new Plutio contact syncs to HubSpot, HubSpot deal closed creates Plutio project, Salesforce opportunity won creates Plutio invoice. This keeps your sales pipeline and project delivery systems in sync.
How do I request a new integration?
Email integrations@plutio.com with the app you want to connect and how you would use it. We prioritize integration requests based on user demand and technical feasibility. For immediate needs, Zapier often provides a workaround since it connects to 5,000+ apps.
