Decisions get made fast on a shopping day, but the second-guessing usually starts at checkout and carries on once the bags are back home. A personal shopper contract puts the ground rules in writing before any appointments get booked, so the client knows what a session includes, what you’re not taking on, and what happens if plans change.

The contract starts with a plain confirmation by email, then moves into What you booked so the client sees the shape of the personal shopping session, what information you need up front, and what the day produces. Payment spells out paying in advance, invoicing the service separately from in-store purchases, and when planning pauses if payment hasn’t landed; the later sections cover reschedules and no-shows, pack rules, home access for wardrobe audits, and how photos can and can’t be shared. The pages sit under Space Grotesk headings with Inter body text, using aged brass with violet accents to keep the wording feeling decisive without getting shouty.

  • When you confirm by email, we’ll Opens with the email confirmation point and explains how responsibilities and practical rules keep the shopping focused.
  • What you booked Defines what a session includes and what details get collected before shopping, including sizes, budget range, and reference photos.
  • Payment States that sessions are paid in advance, invoices cover your service only, and planning pauses if payment is outstanding.
  • Photos and sharing Covers fitting-room photos for decision-making and sets permission rules for any marketing use or later deletion.
  • Ending the project Explains how either side ends the work, what happens to delivered sessions, and how unused prepaid sessions are handled, with signing at the end.

Once the terms match your own names, rates, and booking rules, you send the contract and the client signs online. The signature sits at the end under Ending the project, so acceptance and the exit terms live in the same place if the work needs to stop early.

We went from spending hours on every proposal to creating fully customized ones in under 5 minutes. That's not an exaggeration - we timed it.

The contract in full

When you confirm by email, we’ll hold your date and start locking in the planning and store appointments that make the day run smoothly.

It explains how we’ll work together, what each of us is responsible for, and the practical rules that keep the shopping focused and low-stress.

What you booked

A personal shopping trip is one session built around your gap list: we plan a store route, book fitting-room appointments where possible, shop together in person, and leave you with outfit photos and a tight set of buys that work with Singapore heat and your dress codes. Your proposal states how many sessions you’ve purchased, how long we’ve set aside, and where we’re meeting.

Before we shop, please send your best current sizes, any brand/fit notes, a budget range, and a few photos of what you wear on office days and client dinners.

Payment

Sessions are paid for in advance. If you’re booking a single session, it is paid when you book so we can confirm the date and start planning. If you’re booking a pack, the pack is paid before its first session, because we’ll be reserving planning time and store appointments across the run.

We invoice for our services separately from anything you buy in-store. Every invoice is payable within 14 days of its date. If we’re waiting on payment, we pause booking, route planning, and store appointments until it’s sorted, because those time slots are limited.

Moving or missing a session

If you need to move a session, tell us as early as you can. We will always try to reschedule you to the next workable slot, but store appointments and our diary fill quickly, especially for weekends and after-work sessions.

Our cancellation notice window, any late-cancellation fee, and any no-show fee are set by us and confirmed when you book. A “no-show” includes arriving so late that the planned route and appointments can’t be completed. If we ever need to cancel (for example, illness), you can choose a reschedule or a refund of the affected session fee.

Using a pack

If you’ve bought a pack, sessions are booked from that pack and scheduled the way we plan them together. We’ll suggest spacing based on what you need (for example: audit first, then shopping, then a top-up round), plus store availability and what can realistically be tried on in one run.

Whether a pack expires, and the timing, are set by us and confirmed when you book. Refunds are usually only considered for unused sessions where no planning has been done and no store appointments have been held for you. Once planning and bookings have started, we can normally reschedule within the pack rules instead of refunding.

If we work at your place

If a session includes a wardrobe audit or closet pull at your home, we’ll agree the access plan in advance. If you’re sharing a key or entry code, please do it in the safest way you can, and only for the time window we need. We don’t write down access details in a way that can be used by anyone else, and we won’t share them beyond the team members assigned to your project.

An adult (you or someone you trust) needs to be available to let us in at the booked time. If we can’t get access when we arrive, we’ll wait a reasonable period and then treat it as a missed session, because it blocks the rest of the day’s bookings.

What we are not doing

We give styling direction and shopping recommendations. We’ll narrow you to a short list, tell you what to buy and what to skip, and help you make decisions that match your week, your dress codes, and the climates you move through.

We’re not providing therapy, medical advice, or mental health support, and we can’t promise outcomes like confidence, compliments, or specific reactions from other people. If you want support that sits outside clothing, fit, and wardrobe planning, please speak with the right qualified professional. Final purchase decisions are always yours.

Photos and sharing

During a personal shopping trip we often take quick fitting-room photos so you can compare options without guessing later, and so we can build a usable outfit set from the day. We’ll only take these photos if you’re comfortable, and we’ll keep them focused on the clothes and fit.

We will not post or share photos or video of you, your home, or your purchases for our marketing unless you give us clear permission. You can say no, or you can withdraw permission later, and it will not change the service you receive. If you want, we can also delete the images we took for decision-making once the project is finished.

Ending the project

You can end the project by telling us in writing. We’ll agree the notice period with you in writing based on what’s already booked and what planning is in motion. Sessions already delivered are payable. For sessions already paid but not yet delivered, we’ll either reschedule them within the pack or booking rules, or we’ll talk you through what can be refunded after any committed planning and appointment holds are accounted for.

We can also end the project if behaviour or conditions make a session unsafe, or if we’re repeatedly unable to run sessions as planned. In that case, we’ll stop work immediately and confirm in writing what happens to any unused, prepaid sessions.

Questions about this contract template

What should a personal shopper contract include?

A personal shopper contract usually covers what the session includes, what information the client provides in advance, payment timing, and what happens if a session moves or gets missed. This one also covers pack rules, home access for wardrobe audits, photo consent, and how either side can end the project.

Do personal shopping sessions get paid in advance?

Many personal shopping services take payment up front because planning time and store appointments get reserved before the session runs. This contract states sessions are paid in advance and that planning pauses while payment is outstanding.

What happens if a client cancels or doesn’t show up?

A contract can set a cancellation notice window and fees for late cancellations or no-shows, since missed sessions block other bookings. This template defines a no-show and says the specific notice window and fees get confirmed when the client books.

What details should a client send before a personal shopping trip?

A personal shopper will usually ask for current sizes, budget range, brand and fit notes, and reference photos to plan a workable route. This template asks for sizes, any brand or fit notes, a budget range, and a few photos of typical office and client-dinner outfits.

Can a stylist take fitting-room photos, and can they post them?

Fitting-room photos can help compare options and build outfits without guessing later, but sharing needs clear consent. This contract says photos are only taken if the client is comfortable and nothing gets posted for marketing without permission, which the client can withdraw later.

How does a personal shopper contract handle refunds for unused sessions?

Refund terms usually depend on what has already been planned and whether store appointments have been held. This template says delivered sessions are payable and unused prepaid sessions are handled through rescheduling within pack or booking rules, or a refund discussion after committed planning is accounted for.
