Custom page layout and grid
Widgets snap into place on a drag-and-drop grid that auto-snaps to a column system, so custom pages take shape through positioning and resizing rather than manual coordinate entry. Rearranging a custom page takes a drag, not a rebuild.
Placing and moving widgets
New widgets drop into the grid at the next available position. From there, any widget can be dragged to a different spot, and surrounding widgets shift to accommodate the move. The snap behaviour locks everything to column boundaries, so widgets never overlap or sit at uneven offsets. Moving a full-width chart above a row of smaller metric widgets pushes those widgets down and keeps the layout clean.
Resizing widgets
Each widget resizes by dragging its edges. Widgets stretch from a narrow single-column size up to full width, and the height adjusts to fit the content inside. A chart with a detailed legend can be widened for clarity, while a metric text widget showing a single number stays compact. The grid recalculates surrounding positions after each resize, keeping adjacent widgets aligned.
Responsive behaviour on smaller screens
On tablets and mobile browsers, the grid reflows widgets into a single-column stack. Widgets that sit side by side on a wide screen stack vertically on a narrow one, preserving the order defined in the grid layout. Content inside each widget scales to fit the available width, so charts and metrics remain readable regardless of screen size.
Adding widgets to empty space
Empty areas on the grid surface an "add widget" prompt, so building a custom page starts with a click directly on the canvas rather than navigating through separate menus to find the widget options.
