Custom page templates
A custom page's entire configuration, including widget layout, types, data sources, and filters, can be saved as a template and reused when creating new custom pages. Templates eliminate rebuilding the same reporting structure from scratch every time a new project starts or a new reporting view is needed.
Saving a custom page as a template
Any existing custom page can be saved as a template. The template captures the grid layout, every widget's type and size, the data sources each widget connects to, and any filters applied. The template acts as a snapshot of the custom page's structure, so applying it later reproduces the same arrangement without copying individual widgets one by one.
Creating a custom page from a template
When creating a new custom page, the template library presents saved templates to choose from. Selecting a template populates the new custom page with all the widgets, layout positions, and data source configurations from that template. From there, filters can be adjusted, widgets can be added or removed, and the custom page can diverge from the original template as needed. The template is a starting point, not a locked structure.
Community templates
The template library also includes community-shared templates, which offer pre-built custom page configurations covering common use cases like project health tracking, revenue reporting, team workload distribution, and client billing overviews. Community templates follow the same apply-and-customise workflow as saved templates.
Standardising reporting across projects
Templates make it possible to standardise reporting across projects and teams. A "project health" template applied to every new project ensures each project custom page tracks the same metrics in the same layout, so comparing performance across projects doesn't require reconciling different widget configurations.
