Troubleshooting Plutio Pal
If Pal isn't working as expected, check the common issues below.
Pal doesn't appear in my workspace
- Feature not enabled: The AI feature may be turned off. A workspace owner can enable it from the Pal panel.
- Client role: Pal is only available to owners and team members. Client roles don't have access.
- Permissions: Your custom role may not include access to Pal. Ask your workspace owner to check role permissions.
Backfill seems stuck
The initial backfill processes all your workspace data. For large workspaces with many projects, tasks, and contacts, this can take some time. If the progress bar hasn't moved in a while:
- Close the Pal panel and reopen it. The panel polls for progress updates every few seconds.
- If it's been more than an hour with no progress, contact support.
Pal didn't do what I asked
- Be more specific: Include names, project titles, dates, and exact descriptions. Vague requests may be interpreted differently than you intended.
- Check the action badge: If Pal created or edited something, click the badge in the chat to verify the result.
- Unsupported action: Pal can't do everything. If it says it can't perform the action, see What Plutio Pal can do for the full list of capabilities.
Pal gives an unexpected response
- Try rephrasing your question with more context.
- Start a new conversation; sometimes a fresh thread helps Pal understand a new topic better.
- If the response references data that seems outdated, it may be because the item was created or changed very recently and hasn't been indexed yet. Wait a moment and try again.
I've run out of credits
When your monthly AI credits are used up, Pal will let you know. You can purchase additional credit packs from your billing settings or wait for the next billing cycle. See AI credits and usage for details.
