Meet Plutio Pal
Plutio Pal is the AI assistant built into your workspace. It lives in a side panel you can open from any page, and it works with your real data: projects, tasks, invoices, contacts, time entries, conversations, proposals, contracts, events, files, wiki pages, and notes.
Pal can answer questions about your workspace ("what's overdue this week?"), take actions on your behalf ("create a task called Send deliverables in the Redesign project"), and summarise what's been happening across your projects and contacts.
How to open Pal
There are three ways to open Pal:
- Press
Pon your keyboard (works from any page, as long as you're not typing in a text field). - Click the Pal button in the productivity bar.
- Search for something in spotlight search and select Ask PAL at the top of the results. Your search query gets sent to Pal as the opening message.
The panel slides in from the right alongside whatever page you're viewing. Navigating to a different page keeps the panel open with your current conversation intact.
The chat interface
Pal uses a chat-style interface. You type a message in the composer at the bottom and Pal responds above it. You can see Pal thinking and streaming its response in real time.
When Pal creates or changes something (a task, invoice, event, etc.), it shows a clickable badge in the chat that links directly to that item.
Conversations
Each exchange with Pal is a conversation. You can:
- Start a new conversation using the button in the panel header.
- Browse past conversations from the conversation list in the panel header.
- Continue any previous conversation by selecting it from the list.
What Pal needs
Pal requires the AI feature to be enabled in your workspace. It's available to workspace owners and team members with the appropriate permissions. Client roles don't have access to Pal.
For first-time setup, see Getting started with Plutio Pal. For the full list of what Pal can do, see What Plutio Pal can do.
