What this covers
You’ll have a full set of photos that shows the place and the people, even if the ridge is socked in, the cabin is dim, or the schedule runs a little late.
I’ll help you build a photo plan that holds up in fog, rain, and dim indoor spaces, then I’ll run it on the day so the people moments don’t get lost. This proposal covers coverage, what you get, and what it costs.
I start with a venue walkthrough and a timeline consult, then I build a simple plan around your ceremony light, family photos, and travel time between spots. On the wedding day I work fast, watch the light minute to minute, and keep portraits moving so you still get time with your people.
About us
I’m a wedding and elopement photographer, and most of my work lives in weather that changes its mind. I learned early that a pretty view is easy to photograph and a real moment is easy to miss. So I built my whole approach around moving quickly, reading light, and keeping people comfortable in front of the camera.
People hire me when they want mountain scenery in the story, but they care most about the faces. I don’t wait for perfect conditions. I bring lighting that works in dark cabins and mixed indoor light, I give clear direction during portraits, and I keep family photos structured so they’re done and you can get back to the day.
Selected work
A few example days that show how I handle fast timelines, uneven light, and a lot of people to photograph well.
Foggy ridge ceremony
Overcast turned to thick fog mid-ceremony, so I shifted to tighter framing and clean flash in the reception space. The gallery still reads like the real day, not a weather apology.
Cabin reception coverage
A dim wood cabin with mixed bulbs and window light. I balanced flash to keep the room looking like itself, then moved quickly through toasts and dancing without blinding anyone.
Tight timeline wedding
Travel time, family photos, and a short portrait window after the ceremony. I pre-built a family list and ran it like a roll call, then grabbed ridge portraits in the best five-minute light.
“We had fog, a dark cabin, and a schedule that slipped. The photos still feel like us, and family portraits were over before anyone got stressed.”
Bride, a small mountain wedding
Venue walkthrough
A walk through your venue spaces with a photographer’s eye for where light falls and where people will actually stand. I’ll flag the best backup spots for bad weather.
TIMELINE CONSULT
A planning call where I help you map ceremony light, travel time, family photos, and portraits into a schedule that can absorb a delay without breaking the photo coverage.
10 HOURS OF COVERAGE
Continuous wedding-day coverage for up to ten hours, starting where it makes the most sense for your day. I’ll photograph the story as it unfolds, not just the highlights.
Family formal plan
A simple, ordered family photo list built from your names and groupings. I’ll run the list on the day so portraits move quickly and nobody is left guessing.
GOLDEN-HOUR RIDGE PORTRAITS
A short portrait block timed for the best light window when the weather gives it to us. If it doesn’t, I’ll use a protected spot and lighting to keep portraits strong.
ONLINE GALLERY + PRINT SHOP
A private online gallery for downloading, sharing, and ordering prints. I’ll set it up so family can buy directly, and you keep one clean place to find everything.
What it costs
Pick the coverage that fits your day’s timeline. Each option includes my planning steps up front, so the wedding day moves fast and the gallery is consistent.

If it’s foggy or raining on the ridge, what do you do?
I treat weather as a lighting change, not a failure. I’ll shift to angles that read clean in fog, keep you dry and moving, and use lighting when I need it for faces and details. I’ll also have a backup portrait spot picked during the walkthrough.
HOW DO YOU HANDLE FAMILY PHOTOS SO THEY DON’T TAKE FOREVER?
I build a short list with you ahead of time, in the order I’ll shoot it. On the day I call names, place people, take the frame, and move on. If someone wanders, I keep the line moving and circle back.
Have you shot in dark barns or cabins around here?
Yes. I bring lighting that lets me keep skin tones natural without turning the room into a nightclub. I also watch mixed bulbs and window light closely, because that’s where color can get weird fast if you don’t control it.
WHEN DO WE GET THE FULL GALLERY, AND HOW MANY PHOTOS IS TYPICAL?
I deliver a small sneak peek first, then the full gallery after I’ve edited the set for consistency. Photo count depends on how the day flows, but 10 hours usually lands as a full, story-complete gallery rather than a short highlight reel.
Retainer
Your date is held once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid. The retainer is $1,500 for 10-hour coverage and it is non-refundable because I turn away other work.
Payment. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding. Payments can be made by card or bank transfer. If the balance is not paid on time, I may pause coverage until it is.
Planning inputs. I’ll ask for your family photo list and a final timeline. Please send both at least 14 days before the wedding so I can build a family formal plan and keep portraits moving.
Changes. If the timeline, locations, or coverage hours change, I’ll confirm the updated plan in writing. Added coverage time is billed at $500 per hour and is due within 7 days of approval.
Weather and light. Fog, rain, and fast-changing light are normal here. I’ll work with what we have and adjust locations and timing on the day, but I can’t guarantee a specific sky, view, or sunset.
Family photos
Family formals move fastest with one point person who knows both sides of the family. Please choose someone for that role and have them ready at the scheduled time so I can keep this section tight.
Gallery delivery. You’ll receive your full online gallery within 6 to 8 weeks. I don’t promise a set photo count because it depends on the day, but most 10-hour weddings deliver 600 to 900 finished images.
Copyright and use. I keep the copyright to the images. You receive personal-use printing and sharing rights, including downloading from your gallery and ordering prints. Commercial use and publication submissions need my written OK first.
Reschedule and cancellation. If you need to reschedule, I’ll apply what you’ve paid to a new date if I’m available, and any price difference is due. If you cancel, payments made are not refundable.
