What this covers
You leave with documents that match the receiving office’s format, with signatures and certifications completed cleanly, and with any apostille handling lined up so you are not losing days to rejections, reprints, or courier loops.
Most people come to me mid-process, when a residency file, bank request, or overseas form suddenly needs notarised signatures, certified copies, or an apostille in the exact format the receiving office accepts. You’ll have a set of properly certified documents you can submit with confidence. If you send me the documents and the destination, I’ll tell you the clean next steps.
I start by checking your ID and your capacity to sign, then I review the document for what the receiving office is likely to require. From there I prepare the correct notarial wording, produce any certified copy sets you need, and, when required, handle apostille submission and collection for Portuguese documents.
A bit about me
I’m Inês Loureiro, a notary and signing agent. I do notary and signing for people who are moving between countries, signing company paperwork, or trying to get one set of documents accepted by an office they cannot negotiate with. The work suits me because it is precise. A single missing line or an incorrect name format can waste a week.
People pick me when they want the paperwork done once, in the wording the receiving office expects, without guesswork. I ask for the destination and the receiving body early, because the right certification depends on where the document is going.
I’m a notary, not a lawyer, so I can’t advise you on what the document should say, but I can make sure the notarisation and certification are executed correctly.

Your sessions
A session is a booked time to complete notary and signing with you present, in person. Most sessions run 20 to 45 minutes, depending on how many documents and signers there are. Bring your ID and the full document set, including any attachments and exhibits.
1. ID and signer check First 10 minutes I confirm your identity and check the document names match your ID. If you are signing, I check that you understand what you are signing and that you are signing voluntarily. If anything is inconsistent, I stop and tell you exactly what needs correcting before I notarise anything. 2. Document and destination review Before signing I look for what the receiving body is likely to require, such as specific wording, whether they need an apostille, and whether they will accept a certified true copy instead of an original. If you have an email or a checklist from the receiving office, bring it, because it removes guesswork. 3. Signing and notarisation During session You sign where the document requires, and I complete the notarial act and signature acknowledgment in the correct form. If a translator’s signature needs notarisation for a sworn translation certification, I notarise that signature, and I note the identification details required for the certificate. 4. Copy sets and apostille handling End of session If you need certified true copies, I prepare the copy sets and the required certification wording. If an apostille is needed for a Portuguese document, I confirm the document type and the destination country, then I submit for apostille and arrange collection and handover in the method you choose.
Pricing
Choose the session if you only need one document signed. Pick the pack if you have several documents and want everything checked for the same destination rules.

Get started
If you want to lock this in, I can confirm the exact certificates needed and book your session.
1. Sign this proposal to confirm the notary and signing scope. 2. Send the documents and destination details so I can verify requirements. 3. Book your session and pay in advance to secure the time.
CAN YOU TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT I NEED NOTARISED VERSUS APOSTILLED?
Yes. Send me the document, the country it will be used in, and the name of the receiving office if you have it. I’ll tell you what can be handled with notarisation, what needs an apostille, and what needs both, based on where it is being presented.
WHAT ID DO YOU NEED FROM ME, AND DOES MY PASSPORT WORK?
A passport usually works, and I can also accept other government-issued photo ID depending on the document and the certificate wording required. Tell me the name on the document and the name on your ID so I can flag any mismatch before your session.
DO YOU NOTARISE DOCUMENTS IN ENGLISH, OR DO THEY NEED PORTUGUESE?
I can notarise documents in English, as long as I can identify the document, the signers, and the act I am being asked to perform. Some receiving offices ask for Portuguese versions or specific bilingual wording, so I check the destination requirement before we finalise the certificate.
HOW FAST CAN I GET THIS DONE IF I’M TRAVELLING?
If you are travelling, tell me your deadline and whether you need apostille handling. I can often book urgent sessions, but the timeline depends on signer availability, document readiness, and, for apostilles, the submission and collection window. I’ll give you a realistic schedule before you commit.

Payment
Sessions are paid for in advance: a single session when it is booked, and a pack before its first session. Every invoice is payable within 14 days of its date.
What I need from you. Before the session, I’ll ask for a copy of the document, the country it will be used in, and the receiving office if you have it, plus the name as shown on your ID.
Identification. Bring the original government issued photo ID you want to use for the notarisation. A passport usually works. If the document name and ID name don’t match, I’ll tell you what needs fixing before you sign.
What this service is. Notary and signing covers identification, signer and capacity checks, and the notarial certificate. I’m not a lawyer, and I can’t advise you on what your document should say or whether you should sign it.
Document readiness
I can only notarise what I can identify and what I’m clearly being asked to certify. If a document is incomplete, unsigned where it should already be signed, or missing required attachments, the session may need to be rebooked.
Cancellations and no shows. If you need to cancel or move a session, tell me as early as you can. My cancellation window, any late cancellation fee, and any no show fee are set by me and confirmed when you book.
Using a pack. A document pack is used across one or more sessions until the included items are completed. Any expiry period and the rules for unused sessions are set by me and confirmed when you buy the pack.
Apostille handling. Apostille handling covers submission and collection for Portuguese documents, using the destination rules you give me. Timelines depend on the submission and collection window of the issuing office, and I’ll confirm the schedule before you commit.
