In brief
You’ll know what failed, where it failed, and what we changed to stop it, with the supply back on and the repair tested so it holds through the night.
You reached out because water is showing where it shouldn’t, or a fixture has stopped working and you need a clear call before it becomes a bigger problem. We trace the source first, isolate the supply, then repair the failed section and pressure-test it so you know what held and why. If you’d like to go ahead, you sign, Ewa books you in, and we get a plumber moving.
We start by confirming what’s feeding the water and where it’s escaping, including leaks hidden in boxed-in or chased pipe runs. Once we’ve got a real source, we isolate the right valve, drain down what we need, open up only where access is required, then repair and test under pressure before we leave.
What happens on the day
We work in a straight line: find the source, stop the water, make a sound repair, then test it with the system live again.
1. Call and triage Same day Take your call, ask a few questions to narrow the likely source, and confirm access details. If there’s active water, we talk you through the safest shut-off to limit damage until we arrive. 2. Trace and isolate On arrival Trace the leak or blockage back to the point that’s actually failing, including concealed runs where needed. Isolate the correct water feed, drain down the local section, and confirm the flow has stopped before we open anything. 3. Open-up and repair Same visit Open up only around the failed fitting or damaged section to get full access. Cut out the damaged pipe or component, install the replacement section, and remake joints with the right fittings for the material in place. 4. Pressure-test and handover Before we leave Bring the system back up, run water through, and check every remade joint under working pressure. Show you the repair location, tell you what failed and why, and note any follow-on work you may want done later.
Leak source finding note
A written note stating the confirmed source point, what was opened to access it, and what we saw at the failure, so you can refer back without guessing later.
ISOLATION AND DRAIN-DOWN
Isolation of the correct stop valve or local valve and controlled drain-down of the affected section, done before any cutting or disassembly so the repair is made on a safe, dry line.
PIPE SECTION REPLACEMENT
Removal of the damaged section and installation of a new section with compatible fittings for the existing pipework, sized to match what’s already installed on site.
Fixture repair parts fitted
Repair of the failed working parts when the problem is at the toilet cistern, flush valve, radiator valve, or visible connection, including fitting the correct replacement parts we bring or source.
DRAIN OR WASTE LINE CLEAR
Clearing of a blocked drain or waste line using the appropriate method for the line and access point, followed by a flow test to confirm it is moving freely again.
PRESSURE AND LEAK TEST RECORD
A simple pass or fail record of the final test under working pressure, with the joints and connections we checked listed so you know what was verified before we left.
Pricing
These figures cover the same-day visit, tracing and isolating the leak, the repair, and testing before we leave.

Booking and deposit
To book emergency plumbing repair, we take 25% up front when you sign. We schedule the same-day visit once that payment is received.
Final payment. The remaining 75% is due when the job is finished and we have done the pressure test and handover. Every invoice is payable within 14 days of its date.
What we need from you. We need access to the stopcock, boiler cupboard, and any boxed-in runs near the leak. If a neighbour’s flat is involved, you arrange entry or a contact number.
Opening-up. We’ll tell you what we need to open before we do it. We open only what we need to reach the failed fitting or joint, and we stop and ask before any wider opening-up.
Changes on site
If the leak source is different from what we can reach in the agreed opening, we’ll explain the options and the added cost, then pause for your approval before we continue.
Temporary stops. If we fit a temporary stop to hold overnight, we’ll say so in the leak source finding note. Temporary stops are to control damage, not a permanent repair.
Parts and availability. Our price includes small consumables and standard fittings for the repair. If a specific part is needed and it is not available the same day, we’ll isolate and make safe, then return when it arrives.
What we leave behind. We leave the system isolated only if it is not safe to pressurise. Otherwise we restore water, check joints under pressure, and leave you with the pressure and leak test record.
