I will review what you own today, how much risk you are taking, and how you want this money to work for you, then I will turn that into a written plan and a trade list you can follow. This document sets the ground rules for the engagement so you know what I need from you, how decisions get made, and what happens if the plan changes.
What I will do
Investment advisory covers the analysis and written recommendations I produce for your household during this project, using the accounts and information you provide. Your proposal lists the deliverables for this engagement, and that list is what I am committing to deliver.
To do the work properly, I will ask you for recent statements, current holdings, and cost basis for each account. If something is missing or unclear, I will pause before I build the next step (especially the trade list), because assumptions in the inputs can turn into avoidable taxes, the wrong risk level, or trades you did not intend.
Payment
To book investment advisory, you pay 25% of the price when you sign. The remaining 75% is due when the engagement is complete.
I invoice along the way as needed, and each invoice is payable within 14 days of its date. If a payment becomes overdue, I will pause work and let you know what is on hold and what I need to restart. I do not want you guessing about status, so I will confirm in writing when I consider the engagement complete and the final payment due.
Privacy and files
I will treat what you share with me as private. That includes statements, account numbers, employer equity details, and anything you tell me about income, spending, or family plans. I only use it to do this engagement, and I do not share it unless you ask me to, or I am required to.
You should also treat my written work as private. When the engagement ends, you keep the final risk write-up, cash-flow map, placement plan, and trade list for your personal use. I keep my working files and notes so I can answer follow-up questions and explain how I reached a recommendation.
How I am engaged
I am working for you as an independent adviser on a project basis. That means I control how I do the work day to day, I use my own tools and systems, and I am responsible for my own taxes and business costs.
Nothing in this engagement makes me your employee, and you are not responsible for providing benefits, coverage, or equipment. You are hiring me for my judgment and written recommendations, not to be staffed into your workplace or to act as an ongoing back-office function unless we separately agree that in writing.
What I am responsible for
I stand behind the care I put into the analysis and the clarity of the recommendations I deliver. If I make a mistake in my work (for example, I model your accounts using the wrong figures after you provided the correct ones), tell me and I will fix it promptly.
Markets move, and no plan can remove that risk. My recommendations are based on the information you give me and the assumptions we agree to use (return, inflation, cash needs). I am not responsible for losses caused by normal market volatility, or for tax outcomes driven by missing or incorrect cost basis, or by decisions you or your tax preparer make after I flag a gain or a trade-off.
Ending the engagement
You can end the engagement by telling me in writing. I can also end it the same way if I cannot get the information I need to do the work responsibly, or if you ask me to do something I am not comfortable putting my name on. In either case, I will confirm what is complete, what is in progress, and what I will not be finishing.
You will pay for work completed up to the end date. If you have already paid more than that amount, I will refund the difference. If you have paid less, I will invoice for the remaining balance, payable within 14 days. I will hand over whatever finished work exists as of that date.
