File preview and in-app editor
Most common file types open directly without needing to download first. Images, PDFs, videos, audio files, and text files all render in a built-in previewer, so reviewing a file is one click from anywhere in the workspace.
Previewing files
Clicking a file opens the preview overlay. Images display at full resolution with zoom controls. PDFs render page by page with scrolling. Video and audio files play in an embedded player with standard playback controls. Text files display their contents inline. The preview works on both desktop and mobile.
The in-app document editor
Documents in Google Docs-compatible formats can be opened in the in-app editor for direct editing without downloading. The editor supports basic formatting, headings, and lists. Edits save in real time, so there's no manual save step and no risk of losing work mid-edit.
The editor keeps a version history that tracks every change. Previous versions can be reviewed and restored with one click, so rolling back an unwanted edit is always an option.
Preview vs. external tools
The built-in previewer and editor handle quick reviews and lightweight edits well. For more complex formatting or specialised tools, files can always be downloaded, edited locally, and re-uploaded to the file manager.
