It covers the insurance collision repair work we carry out on your vehicle, along with the paperwork, photos, measuring, and scan reporting that goes with getting an insurance claim approved and closed. If you have an accepted proposal from us for this job, this contract and that proposal are meant to be read together, and the terms below are how the job will run day to day.
What we are doing
We will complete Insurance collision repair on the vehicle you have authorised us to repair. This covers the repair planning, tear-down documentation, insurer communication, structural and body repairs, refinishing, and the checks needed to hand the vehicle back in a safe, scan-confirmed condition.
What you get from us for this project is listed below. Those items are included in the agreed price unless we both agree a change in writing.
* Insurance repair estimate file * Measuring bench printouts * Structural repair and weld record * Replaced exterior impact parts * Glass coordination and refit * Post-repair scan report
Booking deposit
To book the job into our schedule, you pay 40% of the approved price when you sign. That deposit holds your slot, starts the admin work, and lets us begin the early steps like booking tear-down time and ordering parts as soon as approval allows.
If you cancel before we have started work and before we have ordered parts or booked sublet appointments, we will return the deposit less any costs we cannot unwind. If we have started tear-down, ordered parts, or committed time with a sublet partner, we keep the amount needed to cover what has already been done and any non-returnable charges, and we will show you what those are.
Payment
You pay 40% to book the work when you sign, and the remaining 60% is due when the job is finished. We will tell you when the vehicle is ready for pickup and what needs to be paid at that point, including your deductible and any non-covered items you approved.
Each invoice is payable within 14 days of its date. If a payment is late, we will contact you first to sort it out and confirm a payment plan in writing if needed. If we cannot reach an agreement, we may pause release of the vehicle and pause any further non-safety-critical work until the account is brought up to date.
Changes and supplements
Collision work changes most often after tear-down, when hidden damage shows up. If we find anything that changes the repair plan, we stop, document it with photos, and update the estimate. We then send the supplement to your insurer for approval and keep you posted on what is waiting on the adjuster.
We do not go ahead with extra work that changes the price or scope unless we have written approval. Written approval can be an email or text from you, or an insurer approval where the insurer is paying. If your policy will not cover an item, we will flag it to you and get your written okay before we proceed.
What we need from you
We need the vehicle, the keys, and any wheel lock key for the full repair period. Please remove personal items before drop-off. Interior and trim panels may come out during tear-down and repair, and we cannot be responsible for loose items left in the vehicle.
You tell us who the day-to-day contact is for decisions and updates. We will work directly with your insurer on estimating, approvals, and supplements, but we still need you to respond when we flag deductible, betterment, or non-covered items. If we cannot reach you and the job is paused, we will keep the vehicle safe while we wait for direction.
What is not included
Insurance collision repair does not include unrelated maintenance or pre-existing issues. If a warning light, noise, leak, battery problem, alignment issue, or drivability concern is not caused by the collision repair, we will not guess or roll it into the claim. We will stop and call you before any extra diagnosis or work.
Delays outside our control are not included in any promised timeline. Parts backorders, insurer approval times, and sublet scheduling can all pause the job even after we are ready for the next step. We will order parts as soon as we can, tell you what is holding the job, and keep the vehicle secure while it is waiting. Storage beyond a reasonable pickup time may carry a cost, which we will confirm with you in writing before it applies.
Handover and follow-ups
When we say the job is finished, it means the agreed collision repairs are complete, the vehicle has been through a post-repair scan and a road test, and we have the job file ready for pickup and for the insurer. If sublet partners are involved, we will coordinate their work and include their completion notes or scan and calibration paperwork in your file.
At pickup, we will walk you through what was repaired and what was replaced. If you notice a concern that could be related to our repair, tell us as soon as you can and we will book an inspection. If it is connected to the collision repair, we will make it right. If it is unrelated, we will explain what we found and quote any additional work before doing it.
Problems and responsibility
We are responsible for completing the agreed collision repairs to insurer standards and for the workmanship we perform or manage through our certified sublet partners. If something we did is not right, you tell us and we get a chance to inspect it and fix it.
We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by parts supply, insurer processing, pre-existing vehicle condition, or issues that are not related to the collision damage. We also are not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle. If you have aftermarket accessories, custom wiring, or non-factory equipment that could be affected during repair, tell us at drop-off so we can document it and agree the safest approach.
Ending the job early
You can stop the job, and we can stop the job, if we cannot get approvals, cannot get parts, cannot reach agreement on non-covered work, or if communication breaks down. We will handle this in a straightforward way: we will confirm the stop in writing, and we will agree the notice period with you in writing based on where the vehicle is in the process.
If the job ends early, you pay for the work completed and costs already committed up to the stop date, including parts ordered and sublet charges we cannot cancel. We will give you a summary of what was done and hand over the documentation we have created so far, including photos, measurements, and scan reports that exist at that point.
