A month of posts can look organised on a calendar, then real life hits, leaving gaps where the captions were meant to be. This social media content contract gives the monthly content calendar work a written scope, plus the terms that keep filming, approvals, and handover realistic for a busy shop.

The contract starts by naming the agreement, then spells out What we’re doing and the monthly deliverables, followed by Payment terms and what pauses if an invoice goes overdue. The later sections cover review rounds and extra changes, Who owns what once invoices are paid, what can be shared as portfolio, what outcomes aren’t promised, how month-to-month notice works, and what happens when problems show up, right through to Ending this agreement and the signature.

  • This is the Social Media Content Names the contract and makes clear that any mismatch gets agreed in writing before work starts.
  • What we’re doing Defines the monthly content calendar scope and deliverables, plus what you need each week for photos, questions, and approvals.
  • Payment States monthly invoicing and a 7-day due window, and explains what work pauses if a payment goes past due.
  • Reviews and changes Sets two review rounds, prices extra rounds separately, and covers mid-month menu or availability updates.
  • Ending this agreement Explains notice, what gets paid, what gets handed over at the end date, and includes a signature block.

Once the terms match how you actually work, you replace names, dates, and rates, then send it for online signature. Signed copies keep the scope, review limits, and handover list in one place so both sides can point back to the same month’s agreement.

We went from spending hours on every proposal to creating fully customized ones in under 5 minutes. That's not an exaggeration - we timed it.

Reviews and changes

Ending this agreement

Covers termination terms and handover items, and includes a Signature for acceptance.

Who it is for

Social media managers and content creators who deliver a monthly content calendar for cafés, restaurants, and retail shops that need posts planned around real service conditions.

The contract in full

This is the Social Media Content Contract for the monthly content calendar work you’re hiring us to run. If anything in the proposal and these terms don’t match, we will talk it through and put the agreed version in writing before we act on it.

What we’re doing

We’ll build and hand over one monthly content calendar for your next 30 days, set up so your team can shoot, approve, and post without guessing night to night. Our job is to plan content that fits your real shop conditions: tight counters, busy staff, weather shifts, and what you can capture during service.

What you get each month is listed below, and that list is what we deliver. To keep the month on track, we need your weekly photos or clips by the date in the approval sheet, one staff contact for quick menu or stock questions, and approvals by the stated deadline.

* 30-day post grid * Reels shot list * Caption bank (KR/EN) * Hashtag sets * Shoot plan (run sheet) * Posting and approvals setup

Payment

We invoice at the start of each month of work. Nothing is paid up front beyond that month. Each invoice is payable within 7 days of its date.

If an invoice goes past due, we pause work that depends on that payment, including scheduling, template export, and the monthly handover call, until the invoice is paid. We will always tell you what’s paused and what’s still waiting on your side. Once payment is back up to date, we pick up from the current approval sheet and reset any dates that were missed because of the pause.

Reviews and changes

Your month includes two review rounds. A review round means you leave comments in the approval sheet, we revise the items you flagged, and we reshare the updated versions for approval. This keeps feedback in one place so nothing gets lost in chat.

Anything beyond those two rounds is treated as extra work. Before we do it, we’ll price it and get your written okay.

If menu items, prices, hours, or availability change mid-month, tell us in writing. We will update the monthly content calendar and reshare any affected captions and hashtags for approval.

Who owns what

Once invoices are paid, you own the finished monthly content calendar assets we hand over: the grid, captions, hashtags, shot list, run sheet, templates, and the Notion or Sheets setup.

What we keep are the behind-the-scenes parts we use to do our job: our internal checklists, reusable frameworks, and any draft files that aren’t part of your handover. If we use Canva or PSD templates, you’ll receive the editable files we promised for your use, but we still keep the original building blocks we use across projects.

You also confirm you have permission to use any photos, clips, music, or customer images you give us.

Sharing the work

We may show pieces of the finished monthly content calendar as portfolio examples, like a sample grid page, template screens, or before and after captions. We do this to show our planning and writing style, not to share private business information.

If you’d rather we don’t share your work, tell us in writing any time. We’ll stop using it going forward. If there’s a seasonal campaign you want kept quiet until a certain date, send the date in writing and we’ll hold off sharing until then.

What we can promise

We will plan the month carefully, write captions that match your voice, and set up an approval workflow your staff can actually follow. We’ll also be straightforward with you about what’s feasible to film in your space and what needs simplifying.

What we can’t promise are specific outcomes like reach, follower growth, bookings, sales, press mentions, or platform placement. Those depend on factors outside our control, including the platform’s algorithm, your offers and pricing, timing, what your staff can capture that week, and how consistently posts go out once approved.

Monthly rhythm

This work is recurring and runs month to month. Each month is a new monthly content calendar cycle, invoiced at the start of that month, with the due date 7 days from the invoice date.

Either of us can stop the recurring work by giving notice in writing. We’ll agree the notice period with you in writing, and we’ll use that same notice period each time unless we both agree to change it.

If you choose to stop, we finish and hand over the work you’ve paid for in that month, in whatever state it is at the stop date, and we share a clear list of what’s complete and what’s still pending approval.

Problems and limits

If we make a mistake in the monthly content calendar, like a caption typo, wrong hours, or the wrong item name, tell us as soon as you spot it. We’ll fix the calendar assets promptly and reshare the corrected version for approval.

We are not responsible for platform outages, account restrictions, third-party template or audio removals, or anything that happens because posts were published without approval or after details changed and we were not told. If a platform flags a clip or audio choice, we will swap it for an alternative.

Our responsibility is limited to the fees you’ve paid for the month affected.

Ending this agreement

Either side can end this agreement by giving notice in writing. When that happens, you pay for the work done up to the end date, and any unpaid invoices for months already started still need to be paid.

After the end date, we’ll hand over what’s ready for that month: the latest approved grid, captions and hashtags, the Reels shot list, the run sheet, templates, and the Notion or Sheets setup we’ve built so far. We’ll also send a short wrap-up so your staff knows what to post next.

If we planned an on-site shoot, you’ll confirm a time window and a staff point person so we can capture what we planned without blocking counters or walkways.

Questions about this contract template

Do you need to come in, or can the team provide photos and clips?

The contract allows for weekly photos or clips from the client and asks for one staff contact for quick questions and approvals. On-site shooting only comes up if an on-site shoot was planned, in which case the client confirms a time window and point person.

How many Reels versus photo posts does a monthly content calendar include?

The contract lists deliverables like a 30-day post grid and a Reels shot list, but it doesn’t set a fixed split between formats. The format mix stays part of the monthly planning and what gets approved in the calendar.

What do you need from staff each week to keep content moving?

The contract calls for weekly photos or clips by the date in the approval sheet, one staff contact for menu or stock questions, and approvals by the stated deadline. Those inputs keep scheduling and handover from stalling mid-month.

Can everything be reviewed before posts go live?

The contract includes an approval workflow and two review rounds, where feedback is left in the approval sheet and revised items get reshared for approval. Publishing outcomes aren’t guaranteed, and work can pause if an invoice goes overdue.

Who owns the captions, hashtags, and templates after payment?

Once invoices are paid, the client owns the finished monthly content calendar assets handed over, including captions, hashtags, shot lists, run sheets, templates, and the Notion or Sheets setup. Internal checklists, frameworks, and drafts that aren’t part of the handover stay with the creator.

What happens if an invoice is late or the work needs to stop mid-month?

Invoices are issued at the start of each month and are due within 7 days, and overdue payment pauses work that depends on that payment until the invoice is paid. Either side can end the agreement with notice in writing, and the handover covers what’s ready for the paid month along with what’s still pending approval.
