Contract settings
Contract settings control the feature toggle and numbering format for contracts across your workspace. You will find these under Settings > Contracts.
Feature toggle
The toggle at the top of the page enables or disables contracts for your workspace. When contracts are turned off, the feature is hidden from the main menu and unavailable across the workspace. Turn it on to start creating and managing contracts.
Contract number (ID)
Contracts follow a sequential numbering system. You can configure three parts of the number:
- Prefix: text that appears before the number (for example,
CON-or2026-). - Next number: the number that will be assigned to the next contract. Set this to any value if you are migrating from another tool and want to continue your existing sequence.
- Suffix: optional text that appears after the number.
A preview below the fields shows what the next contract number will look like based on your current settings.
There is also a toggle to assign a number to draft contracts. When enabled, a number is assigned as soon as the contract is created, even while it is still in draft. When disabled, a number is only assigned once the contract is no longer a draft.
