Proposal block editor
The proposal editor organises content into sections, each acting like a page in a document. Inside each section, blocks are arranged by dragging, and the live preview shows exactly what the client will see. The same block system is used across proposals, contracts, and invoices, so building one teaches the same skills for all three.
Block types in the proposal editor
The editor includes the following block types:
- Heading: section titles and sub-titles with configurable size levels.
- Paragraph: rich text content with bold, italic, lists, and links.
- Image: uploaded images for visuals, mockups, or branding.
- Video: embedded video from YouTube, Vimeo, or other supported providers.
- Embed: external content embedded via URL, such as interactive prototypes or maps.
- Table: data tables for non-pricing structured information.
- Service table: pricing table with line items, quantities, rates, tax, discounts, and totals.
- Signature: e-signature field where the client signs digitally.
- Spacer: vertical spacing for layout control between blocks.
- Page break: forces the next content onto a new page in PDF exports.
- Divider: horizontal line separating content sections visually.
Block settings and customisation
Each block has individual settings for alignment, width, and padding. Text blocks include formatting options like bold, italic, and lists. Image blocks accept custom sizing. These settings let each block fit the proposal's layout without affecting other blocks around it.
The live preview
The editor includes a live preview that renders the proposal exactly as the client will see it. Text formatting, image sizing, spacing, and service table layouts all reflect in real time. Because the preview matches the final client view, proposals can be reviewed and refined without sending test links or exporting drafts.
