Invoices overview
Invoices are built with the same drag-and-drop block editor used for proposals. The layout, content, and design are fully customisable. Each invoice connects to a client, project, and payment processor, so the journey from tracked hours to collected payment stays in one place.
Invoice statuses
Every invoice carries a status that updates automatically:
- Draft - created but not sent.
- Pending - sent to the client, awaiting payment.
- Paid - full payment received.
- Overdue - past due date with no payment.
- Cancelled - invoice has been cancelled.
- Refunded - payment has been refunded.
Invoice views
The Invoices page supports three views:
- Table - rows and columns showing status, client, amount, due date, and project.
- Cards - invoices as visual cards grouped by status.
- List - a compact vertical layout.
Filtering and bulk actions
Filter invoices by status, client, date range, project, or custom fields. Select multiple invoices for bulk actions: archive, unarchive, or delete.
How invoices connect to other features
An invoice can be created manually, auto-generated from an accepted proposal, or built from tracked time entries. Each invoice links to a client contact and optionally to a project, so invoice data flows into project financials, custom pages, and transaction reports automatically.
Payment processors
Clients can pay invoices online through the payment processors you've connected: Stripe, PayPal, Square, or bank transfer. You configure which processors are available in Settings > Invoices.
