Invoice templates
Invoice templates preserve the block layout, line items, tax configuration, and design of an invoice so the same structure can be reused across new invoices. Instead of rebuilding a common invoice format from scratch each time, a template pre-fills everything and leaves only the variable details to adjust.
Saving an invoice as a template
Any invoice can be saved as a template from the invoice editor. The template captures the block arrangement, line item descriptions and rates, tax rates, discount settings, and any text or image blocks. Once saved, the template appears in the template library and can be selected when creating a new invoice.
Creating an invoice from a template
When creating a new invoice, selecting a template pre-fills the block editor with the template's layout and content. Line items, tax rates, and design elements all carry over. The client, due date, and any variable amounts can then be adjusted for the specific invoice. The template itself stays unchanged, so the same template works for multiple clients and projects.
Community template library
Beyond custom-saved templates, a community template library offers pre-built invoice layouts that can be browsed and installed. These templates provide starting points for different invoice styles and industries, and can be customised to match your brand and workflow after installation.
Templates reduce repetitive setup by preserving the structure, rates, and design that stay the same across invoices, so each new invoice starts mostly complete.
