Online payments - PayPal
PayPal connects to your Plutio workspace and, once linked, invoices display a "Pay with PayPal" button alongside any other enabled payment methods. Payments go directly to your PayPal account at PayPal's standard fees.
How PayPal payments work on invoices
When a client opens an invoice with PayPal enabled, a "Pay with PayPal" button appears next to any other payment options like Stripe or bank transfer. Clicking the button redirects the client to PayPal's checkout flow, where they can pay using their PayPal balance, linked bank account, or card on file.
Payment confirmation
After the PayPal payment completes, the invoice status updates to "paid" automatically. The payment is recorded in the invoice's history with the amount, date, and payment method. A receipt can be sent to the client based on your receipt settings.
Using PayPal alongside other payment methods
PayPal doesn't need to be the only payment option on an invoice. Multiple payment methods can be enabled at the same time, so a single invoice might show "Pay Now" (Stripe), "Pay with PayPal", and bank transfer details all together. Offering multiple payment methods on the same invoice lets clients choose the option they prefer, which reduces friction at payment time.
