Stripe integration
Connecting Stripe to your workspace lets you accept card payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH bank transfers on invoices, forms, and booking pages. Funds go directly to your Stripe account. Plutio doesn't add extra fees on top of Stripe's standard processing fees.
How to connect Stripe
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Stripe.
- Click "Connect with Stripe." You'll be redirected to Stripe's OAuth authorization page.
- Log in to your Stripe account (or create one if you don't have one yet) and authorize the connection.
- You'll be redirected back to Plutio. The connection appears as active in your integration settings.
No API keys or credentials need to be copied manually. The OAuth flow handles all authentication.
What Stripe enables
Once connected, payment collection becomes available in three places:
- Invoices get a "Pay Now" button that accepts cards and digital wallets.
- Forms can include payment fields that charge clients as part of a form submission.
- Booking pages collect payment at the time of booking, confirming the appointment only after payment succeeds.
The same Stripe account handles all three. You don't need to configure Stripe separately for each feature.
Supported payment methods
Stripe accepts credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH bank transfers for USD invoices. Apple Pay and Google Pay display automatically when the client's device supports them. ACH offers lower processing fees than card payments and settles in 3-5 business days.
Recurring billing
Stripe also supports recurring billing for auto-charge subscriptions. When you set up a recurring invoice, Stripe automatically charges the client's saved payment method on the billing schedule you define.
Payment tracking
When a payment clears through Stripe, the related entity's status updates automatically. Invoices move to "paid," form submissions log the payment amount, and bookings confirm. Each payment is recorded with the amount, date, method, and Stripe transaction reference.
Test mode
Stripe offers a test mode so you can try payments without processing real charges. Connect your Stripe test account to verify the payment flow works correctly before going live.
How to disconnect Stripe
- Go to Settings > Integrations > Stripe.
- Click "Disconnect." The Stripe connection is removed, and payment options are no longer available on invoices, forms, and booking pages.
You can reconnect at any time by going through the OAuth flow again.
