How to connect Gmail
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Find Gmail in the integrations list.
- Click "Connect with Google." A Google OAuth window opens where you sign in and grant Plutio permission to access your Gmail account. Your password is never shared with Plutio.
- Authorize the connection. Once you approve, emails begin syncing to your Plutio inbox within moments.
Sending and receiving emails
Incoming emails arrive in the Plutio inbox in real time. Replies composed in your inbox are sent through Gmail's servers, so the recipient sees your Gmail address in the "from" field. Attachments, formatting, and email threads all carry over. Drafts sync between both platforms, so work started in your inbox can be finished in Gmail and vice versa.
What else Gmail enables
Connecting your Google account also unlocks these features:
- Send invoices, proposals, and contracts from your Gmail address instead of Plutio's default email.
- Google Calendar sync, bidirectional event syncing between Plutio and Google Calendar.
- Google Meet, auto-generated meeting links for events and bookings.
Connecting multiple Gmail accounts
More than one Gmail account can be connected to a single workspace. Each connected account appears as a separate inbox, and outgoing emails can be sent from whichever account fits the message. A workspace might connect a personal Gmail, a team alias, and a support address, with each inbox keeping its own conversations separate.
How to disconnect Gmail
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Find Gmail in the integrations list.
- Click "Disconnect." The connection is removed immediately. Emails already synced to Plutio remain in your inbox history, but new emails stop syncing.
