Conversation activities and history
Every conversation maintains a full activity log and a searchable history. Messages, read receipts, participant changes, and status updates are all recorded chronologically, so the complete timeline of any conversation is always accessible.
Activity log
Each conversation's activity log tracks events beyond just messages:
- Messages sent and received with timestamps and sender details
- Read receipts showing when each participant viewed the conversation
- Participants added or removed with the name of the person who made the change
- Status changes from one custom status to another, with timestamps
- Assignment changes when the conversation is delegated to a different team member
The activity log sits alongside the conversation thread, so checking when a message was read or when a participant was added doesn't require navigating away from the conversation.
Searching conversation history
The full text of every conversation is searchable through global search. Typing a keyword into the search bar returns matching conversations with the relevant message highlighted, so finding a specific discussion from weeks or months ago takes seconds.
Filtering older conversations
The inbox can be filtered by date range to surface conversations from a specific period. Combined with type and status filters, finding conversations like "resolved email conversations from last quarter" narrows results quickly. The activity log and searchable history together mean that no conversation detail, whether a message, a status change, or a participant update, is ever lost.
