Email notifications for conversations
When a new message arrives in a conversation, participants receive an email notification with a preview of the message content. Notification preferences are configurable per user, so each team member controls how much email they receive from Plutio conversations.
Notification options
Each user can configure their conversation notifications to one of three levels:
- All messages: an email notification for every new message in conversations the user participates in
- Mentions only: notifications only when the user is mentioned by name in a conversation
- None: no email notifications for conversations (messages are still visible in the Plutio inbox)
These preferences are set per user from account settings, so one team member can receive all notifications while another only gets mentioned alerts.
Replying to notification emails
Replies sent directly to a notification email thread back into the Plutio conversation automatically. The reply appears in the conversation as if it was typed inside Plutio, which means team members can respond from their email client without opening the workspace. The conversation stays unified regardless of whether replies come from Plutio or from email.
Digest emails
Digest emails summarise conversation activity over a period: daily or weekly. Instead of individual notifications for each message, a digest collects all new activity into one email. Digests are useful for team members who prefer to check in on conversations periodically rather than in real time.
Because notification emails thread replies back into Plutio conversations, team members can respond from their email client and the conversation stays complete in both places.
