Google Calendar integration
Google Calendar syncs bidirectionally with Plutio's calendar, so events created on either side appear on both. Busy times from synced Google calendars also block availability on booking pages, preventing double-bookings even when commitments were scheduled outside your workspace.
Prerequisites
Google Calendar requires a Gmail/Google integration first. If you've already connected your Google account for Gmail, Google Calendar may be auto-enabled.
How to connect Google Calendar
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Find Google Calendar in the integrations list. If your Google account is already connected, Google Calendar appears as an available option.
- Select which Google calendars to sync. Personal calendars, work calendars, and shared team calendars are all available. Pick the ones you want to appear in your calendar.
- Save your selection. Events from the selected calendars begin syncing immediately.
Two-way event sync
Events created here appear in Google Calendar, and events from Google Calendar appear in your calendar. Updates sync too, so changing a meeting time on either side reflects on the other. Deletions flow both ways as well. Invitations and RSVPs sync between platforms, keeping responses consistent regardless of where someone replied.
Availability blocking on booking pages
Busy times from synced Google calendars factor into booking page availability. When a time slot is occupied by a Google Calendar event, that slot won't appear as bookable. Clients can't book during times that are already committed, even when those commitments were scheduled in Google Calendar rather than Plutio.
Syncing multiple calendars
Multiple Google calendars can be synced at the same time. Events from each calendar appear in your calendar with distinct labels, making the source of each event clear at a glance.
How to change which calendars sync
- Go to Settings > Integrations.
- Open the Google Calendar settings.
- Update your calendar selection. Add or remove calendars from the sync list at any time.
