Linking contacts to projects
Contacts are linked to projects as clients or contributors, and that link creates a two-way connection. The project shows its linked contacts, and each contact's detail page shows the projects they're connected to, along with the invoices, proposals, contracts, and conversations tied to those projects.
How linking works
A contact is linked to a project from the project settings or from the contact's detail page. The link can be set when the project is created or added later. Multiple contacts can be linked to a single project, and a single contact can be linked to multiple projects. Contacts invited to the workspace as clients are linked to their projects automatically.
What becomes visible from the contact
Once a contact is linked to a project, the contact's detail page shows that project under the Projects tab. All invoices, proposals, and contracts associated with that project appear under the contact's corresponding tabs. Conversations connected to the project show in the contact's Conversations tab. Time logged on the project's tasks appears in the contact's Time Entries tab. The connection pulls in everything related to the project without duplicating records.
What becomes visible from the project
From the project side, linked contacts appear in the project's team or client section. Project views show who's connected, making it clear which contacts are involved. The two-way link means navigating from a contact to their projects or from a project to its contacts works in either direction, with all related documents, invoices, and conversations accessible from both sides.
