Wiki navigation block
A table of contents auto-generates from the page's headings, giving readers a clickable outline of H2 and H3 sections. Readers jump directly to the section they need without scrolling through the entire page.
How the table of contents generates
The navigation block reads the page's heading structure and builds a linked outline automatically. H2 headings appear as top-level entries, and H3 headings appear nested beneath their parent H2. The outline updates in real time as headings are added, removed, or renamed in the editor, which means the table of contents always matches the current page structure with no manual upkeep.
Placement and display
The table of contents can appear at the top of the page or alongside the content in a side panel, depending on the wiki's layout settings. Both placements keep the navigation visible as readers work through the page. On longer articles, the side panel keeps the heading list in view while the reader scrolls, so navigation stays accessible at any scroll position.
