A bit about us
I’m a portrait photographer, and I run Bourne Street Studio as a one-person studio for people and families. Most of my work is for clients who do not want to “perform” for the camera. I built my process around clear direction, steady pacing, and simple choices, so you can show up, get coached through it, and leave with photos that feel like you.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR PROVIDENCE LIGHT AND BRICK?
Bring two options: one darker, one lighter, both without busy patterns. Brick tends to add warmth, so solid colors photograph cleanest. In the planning call I’ll help you choose tones that separate you from the background and keep skin looking even.
How many final images do I actually get?
You’ll choose your finals from the proof gallery. This proposal includes 5 retouched final images. If you want more once you see the gallery, you can add additional retouched images at the same editing style and delivery format.
WHAT RETOUCHING DO YOU DO AND WHAT DON’T YOU DO?
I do light, natural retouching on the final selects: small skin cleanup, under-eye softening kept subtle, and stray hair fixes where possible. I don’t change face shape, remove permanent features, or retouch so heavily that you look like a different person.
Scheduling
A date is held once the proposal is accepted and the retainer is paid. I’ll send a short planning email and schedule your wardrobe call so the session day stays simple.
Payment. Payment is split into a 50% retainer to book and 50% due on the session day. I accept card or bank transfer. Final retouched images are delivered after the balance is paid.
What I need from you. Before the shoot, I need the session address, parking notes, and the main use for the headshot (website, conference, press). Please send outfit options 48 hours before our call.
How the day runs. On session day I arrive, set up, and start with a few easy frames to warm up. We’ll do a quick review as we go so you can see what’s working and adjust.
Proof gallery and selects. I’ll deliver an online proof gallery within 5 business days. You’ll choose your final images from that gallery. Extra retouched images beyond your package are $75 each.
Retouching
Basic retouching includes skin and color cleanup, small stray hair fixes, and minor clothing smoothing. I don’t change body shape, add hair, replace teeth, or do heavy texture-blurring unless we agree in writing.
Changes. If you want to change the session length, location, or image count, I’ll confirm the new total before I do the extra work. I don’t want surprises on your invoice or on shoot day.
Rescheduling and cancellations. You can reschedule once with at least 48 hours’ notice, as long as I have availability. Cancellations within 48 hours keep the retainer. Weather reschedules are free if safety or gear is at risk.
Copyright and use. I keep the copyright to the images. You can use your final retouched images for your own marketing and professional use with no time limit. Please don’t sell, transfer, or license them to others.
