We plan first, then we keep the shoot day simple. We’ll confirm the timeline, the must-have shots, and the look you want, then we scout a few workable spots on the cerros. On the day, one of us stays on the main story while the other watches for the small moments and details.
A bit about us
We’re Ascensor Vargas, a two-person photography team based in Valparaíso. Camila grew up photographing family gatherings and street life on the hills, then took that same instinct into weddings, portraits, and business work. Tomás came up through event and commercial shoots, where timing, lighting, and fast decisions matter as much as the camera.
People pick us when they want coverage that stays organised without turning the day into a production. We plan the shot list and locations in advance, we shoot with two photographers when it counts, and we deliver a tight set of finished photos with steady colour. We don’t hand over hundreds of near-duplicates and ask you to sort it out.

Camila Vargas, Lead photographer. Camila leads the shoot and keeps the timeline moving, watching for expressions and the moments people forget are happening.
Tomás Rojas, Second photographer. Tomás backs up the coverage, handles low light and fast changes, and makes sure details, reactions, and room shots don’t slip past.

Portfolio
Hillside wedding coverage. Two-photographer coverage from getting ready through dancing, with a short location loop between ceremony and dinner to use the late light without derailing the schedule.
Cafe opening photo set. A half-day shoot to replace phone photos with a consistent set for Google and menus: interiors, counter service, and 18 menu items photographed in the same light.
Family session at home. A relaxed session built around routines instead of posing, using window light and short prompts so kids stayed busy and the photos stayed natural.

How many finished photos do we actually get?
We don’t cap the gallery with an arbitrary number. You’ll receive a tight set of fully edited photos that tell the story without repeats. After the planning call, we’ll confirm a realistic estimate based on the hours and the kind of coverage.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT’S FOGGY OR STARTS RAINING ON THE HILLS?
We plan for it instead of hoping. We’ll pick at least one sheltered option and one fog-friendly location during the scout, and we’ll adjust the route on the day so we keep moving and keep you comfortable.
HOW LONG UNTIL WE RECEIVE THE GALLERY, AND HOW DO WE GET THE FILES?
You’ll receive a small sneak peek first, then the full gallery after culling and colour correction are finished. Delivery is through a private online gallery where you can download the full set and share the link with others.
CAN YOU HANDLE LOW LIGHT INDOORS WITHOUT BLASTING EVERYONE WITH FLASH?
Yes. We lean on fast lenses, steady technique, and available light first, then use flash only when it genuinely helps the photo. If flash makes sense, we keep it controlled so faces don’t look flat or washed out.
Booking and payment
To book, you’ll sign this proposal and pay 25% of the total. The remaining 75% is due when we hand over the finished gallery. Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date.
What changes. If the plan changes after the planning call, we’ll update the scope first and confirm any price change in writing before we shoot. We don’t add time, locations, or extra coverage without your OK.
Your input and access. You’ll provide addresses, contact names for any venues, and must-have moments or people at least 3 days before the shoot. On the day, we need safe access and enough time at each spot to work.
Weather and location shifts. If weather or access makes a planned spot unusable, we’ll switch to the sheltered or fog-friendly options we scoped, or adjust the route on the day. If you want to reschedule, we’ll offer the next available dates.
Gallery delivery
We deliver through a private online gallery with high-resolution and web-size downloads. The gallery stays online for 90 days. After that, we can re-upload from our archive if the files are still available.
Usage rights. You can use the delivered photos for personal use or for your business marketing, including your website, social media, and listings. We keep the copyright and may use selected images in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Cancellation. If you cancel after booking, the booking payment is not refundable because it holds the date and prep time. If we need to cancel due to illness or emergency, you can move the date or receive a full refund of payments made.
Liability limits. If something outside our control stops us delivering (theft, equipment failure, venue restrictions), our responsibility is limited to returning what you’ve paid. We’ll also help you source a replacement photographer if time allows.
