Meetings get higher-stakes, the words have to land fast, and the fear is paying for "conversation practice" and still sounding fuzzy next week. This Business English Proposal gives a client something concrete to say yes to, including what gets assessed, how correction and drills work, what they’re buying, and what happens next. The page uses alert lime with disciplined blue accents under Syne headings and Inter body text, so the structure reads like coaching, not small talk.

The proposal starts with What this covers, including a CEFR level check, the patterns that slow someone down, and the kind of meeting, email, and presentation phrasing you drill until it comes out clean. A bit about me explains the correction-led approach and includes a short testimonial, and Your sessions spells out 1:1 and small-group lesson length on Zoom and how the lesson plan gets built around real work situations. Pricing sits under Pricing with the single 1:1 lesson pack, then the reader hits the FAQs about job-specific focus, in-the-moment correction, using real materials, and how long it takes to stop freezing.

  • What this covers Explains the level check, the kinds of moments you listen for, and the mix of role-play, correction, and drills the client will practise.
  • Your sessions Describes 1:1 and small-group session length on Zoom, what the first session checks, and how the plan gets built around the client’s role.
  • Pricing Holds the single priced item, 1:1 lesson pack, which the client selects before they can accept.
  • Get started Includes acceptance language plus a signature and fee summary, then points to booking the assessment and paying the invoice within 7 days.
  • Payment Covers invoicing timing, scheduling by email, and how cancellation and no-shows get handled.

In Plutio, you send the proposal to a client, they accept and sign online, and the Get started section prompts the next step of booking an assessment slot. Before you send, you replace the template’s numbers with your own price for the 1:1 lesson pack and check the payment wording matches how you invoice and schedule.

We went from spending hours on every proposal to creating fully customized ones in under 5 minutes. That's not an exaggeration - we timed it.

The proposal in full

What this covers

You’ll know your CEFR level, the patterns that trip you up, and the phrases that keep you moving in meetings, emails, and presentations without freezing or sounding vague.

You reached out because meetings and calls are getting higher-stakes, and you keep getting stuck mid-sentence. You’ll leave with specific wording and drills, not just conversation. If you’d like to go ahead, the next step is booking your assessment slot.

I start by checking your level and listening for the exact moments where you lose time or accuracy, like answering questions, disagreeing politely, or summarising decisions. Then I build a short plan around your role, using role-play, correction, and drills that you can reuse in meetings the same week.

A bit about me

I’m Niamh O'Sullivan, a Business English tutor. I work with people who already use English socially, but need it to hold up under pressure at work. Most of my sessions sit close to real tasks: meetings, calls, email threads, and slide decks, with language that has to be clear on the first listen.

People choose me when they want correction that is specific and usable. I’ll stop you, fix the sentence, and have you say it again until it comes out cleanly, then I’ll give you a short drill to lock it in. I also focus on business tone, so your English sounds confident without sounding blunt.

“The correction was exactly what I needed, and meetings stopped feeling risky.”

Your sessions

A 1:1 lesson is 60 minutes on Zoom. A small-group lesson is 90 minutes on Zoom. Bring a notebook, and, if you can, a recent email thread or a meeting agenda so we can work with the language you actually use at work.

1. Needs and level check First session I ask a few targeted questions about your role and the situations you speak in most. Then I run short tasks that show level, like summarising, clarifying, and handling questions. I note recurring grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation issues that affect clarity. 2. Role-based lesson plan After session I turn what I heard into a plan you can follow session to session. It focuses on the moments that cost you time, like hedging, interrupting, disagreeing, and closing actions. You’ll see what we are practising and why it sits at your CEFR level. 3. Meeting role-play Each session We practise the situations you get paid to handle, not general topics. I set up short role-plays, then I pause you to correct wording, tense, and tone. You repeat the corrected line, and we run it again until it sounds natural at meeting speed. 4. Review and next focus Last 10 minutes I recap the few language points that mattered most that day, and I give you a short practice task you can do between sessions. If you bring a real email, slides, or minutes, we agree what to rewrite or rehearse before the next session.

Pricing

Most people start with the business English level assessment, then move into a short pack so there’s enough time to drill meeting wording and fix recurring phrases.

Can you focus this on my job, not general English?

Yes. I plan sessions around the language your role needs: meetings, updates, escalations, proposals, or client calls. The assessment tells me your CEFR level, then I match the practice to the situations you actually face at work.

WILL YOU CORRECT ME IN THE MOMENT, OR LET ME TALK?

I’ll correct you in the moment when the wording would sound unclear, awkward, or too informal at work. I’ll also give you space to finish a point when fluency matters. You’ll always hear the corrected version and practise it out loud.

Can we work off my real emails and slide deck?

Yes. If you bring real material, I can use it for an email rewrite session, a presentation run-through with corrections, or meeting wording practice. You can paste text into a shared doc during the session so we can edit it together.

HOW MANY SESSIONS UNTIL I STOP FREEZING IN MEETINGS?

It depends on your starting level and what you need to do in the meeting. Most people feel a difference once they have a small bank of reliable phrases and have drilled them at speed. After the assessment, I’ll recommend a session count to start with.

Payment

For a membership or term, I invoice at the start of each period, before the sessions in it take place. I do not take any payment beyond that. Every invoice is payable within 7 days of its date.

Scheduling. I’ll offer session times by email and book your slot once you confirm. If you need regular times each week, tell me what you can do and I’ll let you know what I can hold.

Cancellation. If you need to reschedule, let me know as early as you can. My cancellation notice window and any late-cancellation fee are set by me and confirmed when you book.

No show. If you miss a session without notice, I treat it as a no-show. Any no-show fee, and whether the session is forfeited or can be rebooked, are set by me and confirmed when you book.

Using packs and memberships

Sessions in a pack or membership are used one session at a time, booked in advance. Whether a pack expires, and how long it stays valid, are set by me and confirmed on your invoice.

Your materials. You can bring real emails, reports, agendas, or slides. You are responsible for sharing only what you are allowed to share from work, and for removing client names or sensitive details where needed.

Confidentiality. I treat what you share in sessions as confidential and I do not share it with anyone else. If I need to refer to an example for teaching notes, I remove names and identifying details first.

What this is not. My work is language coaching and skills practice, not legal advice, HR advice, or therapy. I can’t guarantee a result, because progress depends on your starting level and the practice you do between sessions.

Questions about this proposal template

What should a business English proposal include?

A business English proposal usually explains what gets assessed, what gets practised, how sessions run, and what the client is buying. This proposal also includes pricing, acceptance and signature, and a payment section covering invoicing and scheduling.

Can the lessons focus on my job, not general English?

Job-specific focus usually means practising the language used in your meetings, updates, escalations, proposals, or client calls. This proposal describes an assessment first, then sessions planned around the situations the role actually faces at work.

Will you correct me during the session or let me talk?

In-the-moment correction means stopping when wording turns unclear, awkward, or too informal, then practising the corrected version out loud. This proposal also allows space to finish a point when fluency matters, so both accuracy and delivery get trained.

Can we use my real emails and presentation slides in lessons?

Real materials can be used for email rewrites, presentation run-throughs with corrections, and meeting wording practice. This proposal also notes that you’re responsible for only sharing material you’re allowed to share and removing sensitive details where needed.

How many sessions does it take to stop freezing in meetings?

Session count depends on starting level and what the meeting demands, because different roles need different language under pressure. This proposal positions the assessment as the first step, then the tutor recommends a starting number of sessions based on what shows up.

What payment terms should a language coaching proposal say?

Payment terms often cover when invoices are issued, when they’re due, and what happens with scheduling changes. This proposal says invoices are payable within 7 days of the invoice date and includes notes on scheduling by email, cancellations, and no-shows.
