A dog gets dropped off with a few worries hanging in the air, because a calm finish matters but so does what happens if the coat is matted or the dog gets stressed. This dog grooming proposal gives the owner the service story up front, then the price, so nobody has to guess what you’ll do, what you won’t do, or when you’ll check in before changing length. The pages sit under Nunito headings with Inter body text, with rose and blue accents that keep the tone soft but still clinical enough for hygiene and handling.

The proposal starts with What this covers, which describes what the owner walks away with and how the groom is approached, then A bit about me explains the one-on-one setup and how decisions get talked through instead of turned into surprises at pickup. Your sessions breaks the appointment into stages, including the early coat-and-skin check, the bath and dry, and the points where you might need an answer from the owner. The rest reads like the stuff people actually ask in dog grooming, including cage-drying, mat removal versus shaving, timing and drop-off, and what you need for a first visit.

  • What this covers Explains the grooming approach, what gets checked before clipping, and what the owner leaves knowing about coat and skin.
  • Your sessions Walks through how the appointment runs, where coat condition can change the plan, and when you’ll reach out before changing length.
  • Pricing Holds the single priced service and the note that coat length, condition, and size affect the total, so you swap in your own price.
  • Get started Gives the owner a place to sign, shows the fee summary, and spells out what you need next for booking and first-time visits.
  • Payment States paying in advance, the 14-day invoice window, and the basics on cancellations, pickup timing changes, and mat-related coat changes.

Once the wording fits your own way of working, you replace the numbers in Pricing, send the proposal, and the client accepts with the signature in Get started, which also carries the fee summary and the next-step notes you want them to follow.

We went from spending hours on every proposal to creating fully customized ones in under 5 minutes. That's not an exaggeration - we timed it.

The proposal in full

What this covers

You pick up a dog that smells fresh, feels soft, and moves more comfortably, with a finish that looks even in photos and in daylight. You also leave knowing what I found in the coat and skin, and what to do before the next groom so matting does not sneak up again.

You reached out because brushing, nails, and shedding at home have hit the point where it is not keeping up. I work one-on-one, stay with your dog through the dry, and I check mats and skin before I clip. If you’d like to book, I’ll hold a time and confirm what to bring for a first visit.

I start with a hands-on check of coat, skin, nails, and ears so there are no surprises once the bath is done. Then I bathe and high-velocity dry, do the clip-down with a guard comb, and finish with hand scissoring where it shows most. If I find mats or irritation, I stop and talk you through options before I change the plan.

A bit about me

I’m Luz Martínez, and I’ve built Doña Luz Grooming around calm handling and clean finishes. I do full dog grooming start to end myself, so the person you meet at drop-off is the person bathing, drying, clipping, and scissoring. I keep the space quiet, work at the dog’s pace, and take breaks when a dog needs a minute.

Most people come to me after a few tough at-home sessions with a brush or clippers, or after a groom that came back shorter than expected. I don’t start cutting until I’ve checked the coat with my hands, and I don’t change length or shave mats without telling you what I’m seeing and why. You will always get a clear choice, not a surprise at pick-up.

“She took her time, and my dog came back calm and beautifully finished.”

Your sessions

A full dog grooming session happens in my grooming space and usually runs a few hours, depending on coat type, size, and matting. Please bring a leash or harness that fits well, and plan to be reachable by phone in case I need to ask about mats or a shorter finish.

1. Coat check First 10 min I start with a hands-on check for mats, tight areas behind ears, tangles at the collar line, and any redness or bumps I should avoid. I confirm the finish you want and what is realistic for the coat today. If something needs a change, I tell you before I pick up clippers. 2. Bath and dry Next I bathe and rinse thoroughly, then use a high-velocity dryer to lift coat, remove loose undercoat, and dry to the skin. I stay with your dog during drying. I do not leave a dog alone to dry in a cage, because supervision matters most when a dog is tired or unsure. 3. Clip and scissor After dry I do the clip-down with a guard comb for an even length, then hand scissor the parts that show most, like legs and face, so the outline looks balanced. If I find hidden mats as I work, I pause and explain the options, including what it means for comfort and coat health. 4. Nails, ears, tidy Finish I trim nails and tidy paw pads so your dog gets traction on smooth floors. I clean ears and only pluck where appropriate for the dog and the coat. I also do a sanitary trim. Before you go, I tell you what I noticed and when I would book the next groom.

Pricing

Prices are based on coat length, coat condition, and your dog’s size. I’ll confirm the total when you book, and I’ll message if I find anything that changes it.

Fee summary

Do you cage-dry, or are you with the dog the whole time?

I’m with your dog through the dry. I use a high-velocity dryer and hands-on brushing to get the coat dry to the skin, and I stay present so I can slow down, take breaks, and adjust if your dog gets worried or tired.

IF YOU FIND MATS, WILL YOU TRY TO SAVE THE COAT OR WILL YOU SHAVE IT?

I check for mats before I clip, and I tell you what I’m finding. If a mat can be safely worked out without pulling skin, I’ll de-mat the problem areas. If it is tight to the skin, I’ll recommend a shorter option and ask before I do it.

How long will it take, and do I stay or come back?

Most full dog grooming appointments take a few hours, and coat condition makes the biggest difference. You do not need to stay. Drop off and come back at the time I confirm with you. If something changes the timing, I’ll message you.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME FOR FIRST-TIME DOGS (VACCINES, TEMPERAMENT, LAST GROOM)?

For a first visit, tell me your dog’s age, any handling sensitivities, and when the last groom was. If your vet has vaccine records available, bring them or send a photo. If there has been a skin issue, let me know what your vet advised.

Payment

Sessions are paid for in advance. A single session is paid when it is booked, and a pack is paid before its first session. Every invoice is payable within 14 days of its date.

Cancellations. If you need to reschedule, tell me as early as you can so I can offer the spot to someone else. My cancellation notice window and any late-cancellation or no-show fees are set by me and shared when you book.

Arrival and pickup. Drop off at your booked time and pick up at the time I confirm with you. If you’re running late, message me. If the groom runs longer because of coat condition or your dog needing breaks, I’ll message you with an updated pickup time.

Mats and coat changes. If I find mats, I’ll tell you what I’m finding before I clip. If a mat can be safely worked out, I’ll de-mat the problem areas. If it is tight to the skin, I’ll recommend a shorter option and ask before I do it.

Health and skin notes. I’ll flag things I can see during the groom, like redness, dandruff, hotspots, or parasites, and I’ll tell you where they are. I’m not a vet, and I can’t diagnose or treat medical issues.

First visit details

For a first visit, tell me your dog’s age, any handling sensitivities, and when the last groom was. If your vet has vaccine records available, bring them or send a photo. If there has been a skin issue, tell me what your vet advised.

Behavior and handling. I work one-on-one and I slow down when a dog is worried, but I won’t push through panic or pain. If your dog can’t be safely groomed that day, I’ll stop and we’ll make a plan for a shorter visit next time.

Packs and expiry. If you buy a pack, you can use the sessions for the same dog and the same type of service you booked. Any expiry period, rescheduling rules, and refund rules for packs are set by me and shared before you pay.

What grooming is not. Full dog grooming is coat and hygiene care, not medical care or training. I can make practical recommendations about coat length and matting, but I can’t promise a specific look if the coat condition doesn’t allow it.
