Using templates
Templates turn creating a new project, invoice, proposal, contract, form, wiki, custom page, automation, or booking page into a pre-filled starting point rather than a blank slate. Select a template from the template picker during creation, and the new item inherits the saved structure, content, and configuration immediately.
Selecting a template
The template picker appears while you create a project, invoice, proposal, contract, form, wiki, custom page, automation, or booking page, showing available templates filtered to the type being created. Each template displays its title and description, and a preview lets you review the template's structure and content before applying. Selecting a template pre-fills the new item with the saved configuration.
What gets pre-filled
The pre-filled content depends on the type. A project template pre-fills task boards, task lists, statuses, and default assignee roles. A proposal template pre-fills the block layout, text content, service table line items, and signature block placement. An invoice template pre-fills line items, tax settings, and payment terms. An automation template pre-fills the trigger, conditions, actions, and field mappings. Everything the template captured during saving carries over to the new item.
Editing after applying
Every field, block, and setting pre-filled by the template remains fully editable. Client names, project-specific details, pricing, dates, and variable content can all be adjusted without restriction. The template provides the structure, and the edits tailor the item to its specific context. Because templates are a starting point and not a locked format, each new item can diverge from the template as much as needed while still benefiting from the structure that was already built.
