Invoice PDF download issues
If you're having trouble downloading or viewing an invoice PDF, here are the most common causes and how to fix them.
PDF won't download
When you click the download button and nothing happens, your browser's popup blocker is likely preventing the file from opening.
- Check your browser's address bar for a blocked popup notification (usually a small icon near the URL).
- Allow popups for your workspace domain and try again.
- If that doesn't work, right-click the download button and select Save link as to download the file directly.
Tip: If you're using a browser extension that blocks popups or downloads, try temporarily disabling it.
PDF looks wrong or is blank
A blank or broken-looking PDF usually means your browser served a cached version of the page.
- Clear your browser cache, then reload the invoice page and try the download again.
- Try opening the invoice in a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge) and downloading from there.
- If you're using a browser extension that modifies page rendering (like a dark mode extension), disable it before downloading.
PDF doesn't match the invoice
If the downloaded PDF shows old data or doesn't reflect your recent changes:
- Reload the invoice page to make sure your latest edits are saved.
- Check that you saved any changes before downloading. Unsaved edits won't appear in the PDF.
- Download the PDF again after confirming the on-screen invoice shows the correct data.
Fonts or images missing in the PDF
PDFs are generated by your browser's print engine, which means the result can vary slightly between browsers.
- Some custom fonts may render differently in the PDF compared to the screen. This is a known limitation of browser-based PDF rendering.
- If images are missing, make sure they've finished loading on the invoice page before you download.
- For the most consistent results, use the latest version of Chrome or Firefox.
Still not working?
