Your Connection is Not Private (SSL error)
If you see "Your connection is not private" when visiting your custom domain, the SSL certificate hasn't been issued or applied yet.
Common causes and fixes
- DNS just propagated : SSL certificates are provisioned automatically after the CNAME resolves. If you just set up your domain, wait up to 24 hours for the certificate to be issued.
- Wildcard SSL conflict : if you have a wildcard SSL certificate on your domain, it can sometimes conflict. This is rare, but worth checking with your domain provider.
- Cloudflare proxy is on : if you use Cloudflare, make sure the DNS record is set to DNS only (grey cloud icon). The orange cloud (proxied) intercepts the connection and prevents Plutio from issuing an SSL certificate. Click the cloud icon to toggle it to grey.
