Integration troubleshooting
Integrations connect Plutio to external services like Gmail, Google Calendar, Zoom, and custom IMAP/SMTP email providers. When a sync stops working or a connection drops, the issue is usually an expired authentication token or a misconfigured setting on the external service side.
1. Gmail not syncing
Gmail sync relies on an OAuth connection that grants Plutio read and send access to the linked Gmail account. When emails stop syncing, the OAuth token may have expired or been revoked. Re-authenticating the Gmail integration in Settings → Integrations generates a fresh token. Google's security settings also need to allow the connection, so checking Google Account → Security → Third-party apps confirms that Plutio still has the required permissions.
2. Google Calendar not syncing
Calendar sync is two-way: events created here appear in Google Calendar, and events from Google Calendar appear here. If sync stops, verify that the correct calendar is selected in the integration settings, because Google accounts often have multiple calendars (personal, work, shared). The sync toggle also needs to be enabled for the specific calendar, not just for the integration overall.
3. Zoom or Google Meet links not generating
Scheduler booking pages can attach a video meeting link to each confirmed booking. If the link doesn't generate, check that the Zoom or Google Meet integration is connected in Settings → Integrations and that the correct provider is set as the default video meeting location on the booking page. The video integration needs to be both connected at the workspace level and selected on the individual booking page for links to generate automatically.
4. IMAP/SMTP connection errors
Custom email providers connect through IMAP (for receiving) and SMTP (for sending), and both require specific server settings. Host address, port number, and SSL/TLS settings must match the email provider's documented configuration. If the credentials are correct but the connection still fails, the email provider may require enabling third-party access or generating an app-specific password. Testing the credentials in a standalone email client first isolates whether the issue sits with the credentials or with Plutio's connection.
