How to whitelabel Plutio for your brand
White-labelling replaces every trace of Plutio with your own brand, covering the domain, login page, interface, emails, and client portal. Clients interact with your platform, not Plutio's. Here's the full setup.
- Set up a custom domain. Under Settings → White Label, configure a custom domain like
app.yourdomain.com. A CNAME record needs to point your subdomain to Plutio's servers in your DNS provider. Once the DNS propagates, your workspace loads at your own domain instead ofyourname.plutio.com. - Configure branding colours and fonts. Customise the interface appearance: primary colours, accent colours, fonts, and button styles. These settings apply across the entire workspace, so every page, popup, and navigation element carries your brand's visual identity.
- Customise the login page. The login page that your team and clients see can be branded with your logo, background image, and colours. The default Plutio login page is replaced entirely, so clients signing in see your brand from the first screen.
- Set up a custom email domain. Configure your own SMTP server or Gmail OAuth so all outgoing emails send from your domain (e.g.,
notifications@yourdomain.com). Invoice notifications, proposal emails, conversation replies, and system emails all come from your address instead of a Plutio address. - Remove Plutio branding. Any Plutio branding or attribution is removed from the interface, emails, and client-facing pages. Your workspace appears entirely as your own platform with no third-party references visible.
- Customise email templates. Email templates for invoices, proposals, invitations, and notifications can be edited with custom layouts, colours, logos, and signatures. Every outgoing email matches your brand's style, so clients receive communication that looks and feels like it's coming from your business directly.
DNS setup
The custom domain requires adding a CNAME record in your DNS provider pointing your chosen subdomain (e.g., app) to Plutio's domain. Plutio handles SSL certificate provisioning automatically once the DNS record is active. Propagation typically takes a few hours.
What clients see before and after
Before white-labelling, clients log in at yourname.plutio.com and see Plutio's branding throughout. After, the login page, domain, interface colours, email sender, and every client-facing surface carry your brand exclusively, with no mention of Plutio anywhere.
