Notifications
Notifications keep you informed when something happens in your workspace: a task is assigned to you, a message is sent, an invoice is paid, and so on. You can receive notifications in the app, by email, and as push notifications on your phone.
Where notifications appear
- In-app - click the bell icon in the productivity bar to open the notification panel. Unread notifications show a badge count on the bell.
- Email - depending on your settings, some notifications are also sent to your email address.
- Mobile push - if you've installed the Plutio mobile app and allowed notifications, you'll receive push notifications on your phone.
Notification types
Notifications are generated when someone:
- Assigns you to a task or mentions you in a comment
- Sends you a message or replies in a conversation you're part of
- Approves, signs, or views a proposal or contract
- Pays or views an invoice
- Submits a form
- Books a scheduler slot
- Changes something on a project or task you follow
Customising your notifications
You control what notifications you receive from Account menu > Notification preferences in the productivity bar. Notifications are organised by area, and each area has specific toggles:

Each toggle can be set independently for in-app and email delivery.
Email digest
Instead of getting individual emails for every notification, you can opt into a digest email that bundles your notifications and sends them at a frequency you choose.
