Recurring events
Events can be set to repeat on a schedule, so recurring meetings, weekly check-ins, and monthly reviews don't need to be created individually each time. The recurring pattern is set once, and every instance is generated automatically.
Recurrence patterns
Five recurrence options cover the common scheduling patterns:
- Daily: the event repeats every day at the same time.
- Weekly: the event repeats on the same day each week.
- Monthly: the event repeats on the same date each month.
- Yearly: the event repeats on the same date each year.
- Custom: the event repeats at a custom interval, such as every 2 weeks, every 3 days, or every 6 months.
Editing recurring events
When a recurring event is edited, three options appear:
- This event only: changes apply to the selected instance. All other instances in the series stay unchanged.
- This and future events: changes apply from the selected instance onwards. Past instances keep their original details.
- All events in the series: changes apply to every instance, past and future.
These options make it possible to adjust a single meeting (reschedule one week's check-in) without affecting the rest of the series, or update the time for all future meetings without touching past ones.
Cancelling individual instances
Individual instances of a recurring event can be cancelled without deleting the entire series. A cancelled instance is removed from the calendar, and participants receive a cancellation notification for that date only. The remaining instances continue on schedule. Per-instance editing and cancellation means recurring events adapt to real-world changes without breaking the series or requiring a rebuild.
