Custom sending email
By default, outgoing emails from Plutio send from a Plutio address. With a custom sending email configured, every outgoing message sends from your own address instead (e.g., hello@yourbrand.com). Invoices, proposals, booking confirmations, conversation notifications, and client invitations all arrive in your clients' inboxes with your email address as the sender.
Setup options
A custom sending email connects in two ways:
- SMTP: any email provider that supports SMTP can be connected by entering the server host, port, username, and password. This works with Gmail, Outlook, Zoho, FastMail, and any other provider with SMTP access.
- Gmail OAuth: Gmail accounts connect through Google's sign-in flow with no manual server settings. After authorising access, Plutio sends outgoing emails through Gmail directly.
What sends from your address
Once connected, all outgoing emails use your custom address as the sender:
- Invoice sends and payment reminders
- Proposal and contract sends
- Booking confirmations and reminders
- Conversation notifications
- Client invitation emails
