Task views - list view
List view displays tasks in a table layout with sortable, configurable columns. Values for most fields can be edited directly in the table, so status changes, due date updates, and assignee switches happen inline without opening each task individually.
Configuring columns
The columns shown in list view are configurable. Built-in fields like assignee, due date, priority, status, and project can be toggled on or off, and custom fields can be added as columns too. A team tracking billable hours might add a "Billing rate" custom field column, while a team managing content might add a "Content type" dropdown column.
Sorting and grouping
Tasks can be sorted by any visible column: due date, priority, assignee, status, project, or any custom field. Grouping organises tasks into collapsible sections by a chosen field, so grouping by status creates sections like "To Do", "In Progress", and "Done", with tasks listed under each. Grouping by assignee shows each team member's tasks separately.
Filtering tasks
Filters narrow the list by status, priority, assignee, project, due date range, and custom field values. Multiple filters can be combined, so viewing "high-priority tasks assigned to a specific team member due this week" takes a few clicks. Filtered views can be saved for quick access later.
Inline editing means most task updates happen directly in the table, so managing a large number of tasks stays fast without opening and closing individual task screens.
