Archiving and deleting tasks
Completed or outdated tasks can be archived to keep active views clean, or deleted when they're no longer needed at all. Both options are available on individual tasks and in bulk from list and board views.
Archiving tasks
Archiving removes a task from board columns, list views, and calendar displays, but the task is still searchable and accessible from the archive. Archived tasks retain all of their data: comments, file attachments, time entries, subtasks, and custom field values stay intact. Restoring an archived task puts it back in its original board and task group, so archived work can return to active status at any time without losing anything.
Deleting tasks
Deleting a task moves it to the trash. Trashed tasks stay recoverable for 30 days before permanent deletion. During that window, a deleted task can be restored to its original project and board. After 30 days, the task and all associated data are permanently removed.
Bulk archive and bulk delete
Multiple tasks can be selected at once in list view or board view for bulk operations. Selecting tasks and choosing "Archive" or "Delete" applies the action to all selected items in a single step. Bulk actions are especially useful for clearing completed sprints, cleaning up finished projects, or removing outdated tasks that have accumulated over time.
Archiving keeps completed work accessible without cluttering active views, while the 30-day trash window provides a safety net before anything is permanently removed.
