Using templates to get started fast
Templates let any existing project, task board, invoice, proposal, contract, form, wiki, or custom page become a reusable starting point. Instead of building the same structure from scratch each time, a template captures everything and creates a ready-to-use copy.
What templates preserve
A project template, for example, includes the task groups, individual tasks, assignee roles, due date offsets, and any custom field values from the original. An invoice template preserves line items, tax settings, payment terms, and layout. Every template type captures the full configuration of the original entity, so the copy is ready to use immediately.
Saving your own templates
Any existing entity can be saved as a template. From a project, invoice, proposal, contract, form, wiki, or custom page, the "Save as template" option creates a template from the current state. That template can then be used to create new items with the same structure, content, and configuration.
The template library
Plutio includes a template library with community-shared templates. These are ready-made templates created by other Plutio users and cover common use cases across industries. Installing a template from the library creates a copy in your workspace, and from there, the copy can be edited and customised without affecting the original.
Templates work across all types: projects, task boards, invoices, proposals, contracts, forms, wikis, and custom pages.
