How everything connects
Every feature connects to the others. Projects link to tasks, invoices, proposals, contracts, contacts, time entries, files, conversations, and wiki pages. These connections aren't just references: actions in one feature trigger real outcomes in another.
Connections in action
Here are a few examples of how things link together:
- Proposal gets signed → an invoice is auto-created from the pricing table, a project is generated with tasks, and the client is invited to the workspace.
- Form gets submitted → a task is created in the right project, the submitter is added as a contact in your CRM, and an automation triggers a follow-up email.
- Time gets tracked on a task → the hours become invoice line items, with the task name, duration, and billing rate already filled in.
- Contract is linked to a proposal → signing one auto-signs the other, so the client only needs to sign once.
- Client books through the scheduler → payment is collected at the time of booking, a video meeting link is generated, and the booking appears in your calendar.
- Recurring invoice is created → Plutio sends the invoice on schedule and can auto-charge the client's card on file.
Why connections matter
Because everything lives in one workspace, data flows between features without manual re-entry. A contact created from a form submission already has their project, invoices, and conversations linked. An invoice generated from a proposal carries over the line items, client, and project reference. Client details, line items, and project references all carry over automatically, so nothing needs to be entered twice.
These connections also mean automations can span across features. A single trigger, like a form submission, can create a task, add a contact, send an email, and generate an invoice, all in one step.
