Scheduler payment collection
Booking pages can require payment before a booking is confirmed, so the meeting is only scheduled once the client has paid. A payment amount is set on the booking page, and when someone books, they pay through your connected payment processor before the booking goes through.
How payment collection works
When a payment amount is configured on a booking page, the booking flow adds a payment step. The client selects their time slot, enters their details, and then completes payment through Stripe, PayPal, or Square. The booking only confirms after payment succeeds, which means unpaid bookings don't land on your calendar. If the payment fails or is abandoned, no booking is created.
Supported payment processors
Payment on booking pages uses whichever processor is connected to your workspace: Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay), PayPal, or Square. The processor handles all transaction processing, so sensitive payment data never passes through Plutio. The connection is configured once in your workspace's payment settings and applies to all booking pages with payment enabled.
Use cases for paid bookings
Here are a few examples where payment collection on bookings applies:
- Paid consultations where the session fee is collected at the time of booking.
- Coaching sessions where pre-payment ensures commitment and reduces no-shows.
- Workshops and group sessions where a fixed fee secures a spot.
- Follow-up calls billed at an hourly rate, collected upfront.
Requiring payment before confirmation means every booking on your calendar is already paid for, so no-shows and unpaid sessions stop being a concern.
